With 10 days on a Tokyo → Kyoto → Osaka route, a JR Pass usually does not pay off unless you add Hiroshima or return to Tokyo by Shinkansen. Single Shinkansen tickets are simpler. Spend the saved complexity on enjoying the extra days.
